The Red Wings are back at home tonight to host the New Jersey Devils. The Wings are a 500 club after Tuesday night’s slim shutout win over the New York Islanders. Detroit is going to need to bring a better game tonight — 10 shots on goal probably isn’t enough to beat the Devils.
Speaking of the Devils, they will be getting some players back tonight. Luke Hughes and Brett Pesce are both expected to be in the lineup. As for the Wings, beat writers are reporting that the flu bug has hit the locker room, so a call-up may be in order ahead of the game tonight. It will very likely be a forward.. Austin Watson if I were a betting man.
