It would be nice for the Red Wings to get a home-ice win against a fellow basement-dwelling team, the New York Islanders (7-7-5). There will be a couple of changes for in Detroit’s lineup — Tyler Motte and Anton Johansson are in, Joe Veleno and Justin Holl are out. Alex Lyon will get the start but I will say that my confidence in him is at an all-time low. Here’s hoping he brings his bite tonight.
It also appears that Derek Lalonde has brought out the line blender. I don’t hate that decision one bit!
