I don’t know about you, but I’m just going to pretend that this is game one of the regular season. The Penguins were never here, nothing happened. It all gets started tonight at LCA when the Red Wings host the Nashville Predators.
On a more serious note, there are a couple of lineup changes for tonight’s game. Jeff Petry is out with an upper-body injury, so the Wings are down a man. MLive reported this morning that the team told Albert Johansson he will be making his NHL debut tonight. The Wings have also called up Justin Holl, so my guess is that there will be some reshuffling to the D pairings. There will be a change in net for the Wings as well — Cam Talbot will get the start.
Kinda seems like the Juuse Saros might be ready to make the start tonight after Nashville sent goaltender Matt Murray down to the AHL.
Coincidentally, the Red Wings and Predators just played eachother in the AHL last night. The Griffins stymied the Admirals 3-0, with Sebastian Cossa picking up the shutout and Marco Kasper notching a multi-point game.
