Shippin’ up to Boston, yadda yadda.
The last time these two teams met, the Wings lost by a thin margin. Unfortunately, this Bruins team seems to be turning it around after the firing of Jim Montgomery. Safe to say that I’m not terribly confident this will go Detroit’s way. We’ll see. Anything can happen, right? Heh.
In other news, it appears that Sebastian Cossa will be making his first-career NHL start at some point in the coming days, though that won’t be tonight. According to HSJ, Cam Talbot is out for at least this road trip and Alex Lyon will be out a little longer. So, now it hinges on the tandem of Husso-Cossa. Patrick Kane is still out of the lineup, but there is some belief that he could be back in the lineup as early as Thursday.
I think that if the Red Wings can come out and play like they did against Vancouver, they could steal this game from Boston. I’m not going to hold my breath because consistency hasn’t really been this team’s calling card. Reminder — this is an ESPN+ broadcast.
