We did it, folks. We made it back to Red Wings hockey. I am proud of each and every single one of you. 🙂
The Wings return to action following the 4 Nations Face-Off with a back-to-back homestand. A tough schedule ahead for Detroit as they try and carve into the playoff standings, and it starts with the Minnesota Wild early Saturday.
You’ll have to pardon me for today’s lineup, because it’s really going to be a toss-up. Several players for both teams are returning from the tournament, and some may be in line for rest. Lucas Raymond joined practice already, so I would imagine he will play. I would think the same of Dylan Larkin, despite USA going deeper than Sweden into the 4NFO. So the lines you see following may be way off.
This is a network game that I expect will attract a lot of eyes. There’s bound to be some rust coming off a two-week break, but let’s hope the Wings show ’em we can hang with the best.
