The Red Wings, coming off of a 3-0 victory over the Buffalo Sabres last night, are facing off against the Anaheim Ducks this evening. There are no major changes expected to the Red Wings lineup, although Brad Richards will play tonight, after having missed last night’s game to attend the funeral of his grandfather.
According to Helene St. James, Jimmy Howard is scheduled to start in goal today for the Red Wings.
We have also received an update regarding Joakim Andersson’s status:
Joakim Andersson clears waivers, will not be assigned to minors today, per Red Wings GM Ken Holland.

Andersson will remain with #RedWings. But now he can be sent down if they need to recall a defenseman due to injury or illness.
