Key Match-ups

Calle Jarnkrok vs The Red Wings

I think we all know why I chose this. Former Red Wing legend Calle Jarnkrok will get a chance to shine against his former team that he never played for. Hey, at least we didn't trade Filip Forsberg for Martin Erat.

Defense vs Offense

Nashville has one of the best defensive cores in the entire NHL. Shea Weber, Seth Jones, Roman Josi form a very strong blue line that is hard to pierce. Detroit is going to need guys like Gustav Nyquist, Tomas Tatar, and Dylan Larkin skating their best to make this competitive. Additionally, Detroit will need to be stout defensively, as Nashville boasts potent offense along with their strong defense.

However, Nashville has had trouble producing goals as of late. In their last eight games, they have only topped two goals on two occasions, and have lost all of their games where they have not been able to do so. If the Wings can keep Nashville below three goals tonight, they should be two points richer when the game ends.

Let's Go Red Wings!
