DETROIT, MI – It was reported that MLSE’s private jet is schedule to head to Detroit later today, and depart promptly after.

Here is a screenshot of the itinerary for the private jet:

The plane will fly from Toronto to Detroit Metro Airport, then fly to Coleman A Young International Airport (another airport in Detroit), and fly directly back to Toronto.

It seems all but a done deal at this point. Toronto gets Babcock, and Babcock gets a gigantic payday after having his price skyrocket by the bidding war between MLSE and the Buffalo Sabres.

We will have more info as it becomes available, but this seems to be a pretty telling sign that Mike Babcock will be the new coach of the Toronto Maple Leafs.
