Oilers Blog: Copper & Blue

The Wings have lost two straight games after starting the season with three straight wins. The Oilers have won two straight after starting the season with four straight losses. The Wings are in Western Canada trying to find the chemistry they were showing in preseason and through the start of the season; they’re facing a squad with a lot of first overall picks, none of which play defense.

Detroit takes too few shots and allows too many. Edmonton is the exact same way (though not as bad in both categories). Hopefully the Oilers will be the cure for what’s ailed Detroit to start things; The Oilers are another team that’s capable of skating with anybody. They have a lot of team speed that should give the Wings’ defense trouble. The Wings have experience and depth.

Should be a good matchup. Should be.
