Predators Blog: On the Forecheck

It’s here! It’s here!  Red Wings hockey is finally here!

The Wings will start their season on the road against a Nashville Predators squad who already had their home opener on Thursday. The Preds stomped on the Minnesota Wild 5-2 with a four-goal third period comeback that started with a tally by former Minnesota player Mikael Granlund.

If the same is going to happen tonight, it’ll have to be Calle Jarnkrok starting things off that way, as he’s the only former Wings guy on that roster.

Dylan Larkin is probable and Andreas Athanasiou did skate yesterday so he might be able to go. Ericsson remains sidelined and it looks like Bowey will be sitting, but we’ll have more lineup info after the team takes their morning skate. Stay tuned!
