Morning Skate: Detroit Red Wings at Pittsburgh Penguins, Projected Lineup, How to Watch
Where: Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania
When: 7 P.M. ET
TV: NHLN - US, FS-D
Radio: WXYT 97.1 / 1270
The Red Wings head to Pittsburg for their first meeting of the season with the defending Stanley Cup champs. Detroit has notched at least a point in each of their last 5 games and will look to extend that streak in a tough road match-up. A quick check of the front page of the Penguins SB Nation blog and the top three stories all have one thing in common...
So the best player in hockey is playing well for the defending champs and the Wings come to town with a depleted lineup. This is not the ideal recipe for success, but hey any given Saturday right?
There will be some lineup juggling heading into this game as a result of the injury to Justin Abdelkader. Drew Miller will be inserted in his place giving Jeff Blashill all the ingredients to revive the OMG line. The projected lineups are a guess so hold on to those fire comments until we actually see how the Wings will line-up in Pittsburgh. It is also very possible to see a Jared Coreau start either tonight or tomorrow in Brooklyn.
