Morning Skate: Lightning at Red Wings – Game 4

7p ET, Joe Louis Arena

Detroit, MI

TV: Fox Sports Detroit, NBCSN, CBC, TVAS2

Radio: 97.1 The Ticket

Bolts Blog: Raw Charge

It’s another must win for the Red Wings… kind of. It’s not necessarily do or die, but 2-2 sounds a whole hell of a lot better than 3-1. The Wings played arguably their most complete game of the season on Sunday night. I’ve made it clear in the past that hope is not a strategy, but holy hell I hope the Wings come out tonight and play the exact same way.

I want to believe that the Red Wings got their swagger back in Game 3. They found the right combination of lines. The right combination on the blue line. The right game plan for success. I need to see the one thing this team has lacked all year. I need to see some consistency. They did it one game. Now do it for another. And then a third. And a fourth.

Revenge against the Lightning is far from complete. It’s only just begun.
