The unstoppable juggernaut Detroit Red Wings head into Columbus for a Friday night matchup against the Columbus Blue jackets. Winners of two in a row and eight of their last ten, the Jackets firmly occupy the top wild card spot and are threatening to climb into that third spot in the Metropolitan.

They’re better than we are, and that’s even after they lost all those guys they were hoping to win big with last season. They’re coached by a hard-nosed, hard-working guy and have been waiting for this matchup since an OT victory over Florida on Tuesday.
