The Wings are through their last set of three games in four days with no wins and all of one goal to show for it. Tonight they’ll embark on a new set with a trip to Buffalo for an opportunity to show an NBCSN-only audience the power of this fully-armed-and-operational suck station.

Taro Hirose and Gustav Lindstrom are up for a peek and practiced yesterday as though their call-up wasn’t just a reward for playing well in Grand Rapids (you know, like NHL players get rewarded with a midweek trip to Buffalo, NY all the damn time).

The Sabres still suck and are looking like they’re well-positioned to go on a late-season run that sees them fall just short of the playoffs. Either that or they’re positioned to keep losing a bunch and then leapfrog Detroit in the draft lottery because life is unfair.
