Blue Jackets Blogs: The Cannon

Detroit comes into tonight being 4-3-3 in their last 10 games. That’s not very good. Even though they pulled off an impressive performance against Chicago, they came back and shit the bed against Montreal. Tonight is a great chance to take advantage of a team who is hurting from injuries, and come out with a couple of points.

The Red Wings need to score more. It seems like they could score whenever they wanted against Chicago, and the exact opposite against Montreal. It’s pretty simple.. Start winning more, or find yourselves playing catch-up in the standings. I believe they can do it. I know that they will. Let’s score some goals.

Opponent Outlook

Player to Fear: Ryan Johansen. He is one of the latest up-and-comers in the NHL. The kid is quick, and skilled. He can go head-to-head with any center in the league. Yes, even Luke Glendening.

X-Factor: Sergei Bobrovsky. Bob is a fantastic goalie, and can steal a game on any given night.

Familiar Faces: Scott Hartnell. Fuck that guy.

Stuff to think about:

  • The Red Wings are 55-25-1 all-time in the regular season against the Columbus Blue Jacket.
  • Henrik Zetterberg has 48 career points against CBJ.
  • The Red Wings need to win this game.

Reasons to absolutely loathe the Blue Jackets:

Also.. They have a really stupid cannon that they shoot off. What a dumb tradition. Beat them, please!
