I’m all for this team losing and putting themselves in the best position to land Rasmus Dahlin and chase Ken Holland out of town, but even I’ll admit, I enjoyed Saturday’s win over the Blackhawks. The Red Wings came off their bye week in Pittsburgh this past Saturday and looked very flat. They answered nicely with an emphatic 4-0 win against their biggest rival in Chicago. It was the Red Wings largest win at the United Center since the 2009 Western Conference Finals when they won Game 4 6-1. The Red Wings look to win back-to-back games as they sit only six points back from the 2nd Wild Card spot. Both Darren Helm and Justin Abdelkader have been ruled out for this one as well as they remain injured.
As for the Dallas Stars, they played yesterday in Boston, coming away with a 3-2 victory in Beantown thanks to Tyler Seguin’s sick overtime winner. The Stars have won 3 of their last 4 and currently sit in the 1st Wild Card spot in the Western Conference and only remain 6 points behind the 1st-place Jets for the Central Division lead. Every game will count down the stretch for both of these teams, so it should be a fairly entertaining hockey game tonight at LCA.
