Should be a fun day of hockey, friends!
All four teams in the NHL’s 4 Nations Face-Off tournament are in action today. Should be a real good pair of games. If you’re watching and would like to get involved with some banter and fun, stick around this open thread and hang out in the comments section!
Sweden vs Finland — 1:00 PM ET on ABC
Lucas Raymond and Team Sweden will be looking for a win after an entertaining bout with Team Canada in game one. Raymond earned a star in that OT loss, posting a pair of assists and three shots on goal. Finland will also be looking to bounce back after getting ass-whooped by Team USA, but they by far have the weakest roster in this tournament. May the better goalie win.
USA vs Canada — 8:00 PM ET on ABC
This is as close to appointment television as it gets for NHL-related action. Canada’s loaded roster, which includes Connor McDavid and Sidney Crosby among other big names, will face a scrappy USA team. Dylan Larkin is playing in a limited role for USA, but if Canada puts a beating on them, the Red Wings captain’s role could be altered. This is a game of “sheer skill vs sheer will.” USA doesn’t have the depth that Canada does, so if they’re going to win, they’ll have to “will” their way to it. Should be a fun game to watch.
