We made it. It’s finally draft time. Good conversation today though; I suggest we keep it going.
The Wings need to start restocking the prospect pool behind the group of kids who are near NHL readiness. They’re not going to get a kid who’s ready to step right into the NHL. All the tea leaves say they’ll take a skater instead of a goalie, but consensus is mixed over whether they want a big D-man, a bit more center depth, or a scoring winger. That is of course very helpful since those are pretty much the only three types of skaters any team should be going with in the first round.
