Hurricanes Blog: Canes Country

Let’s do this again, shall we?

Wings played the Canes in game two, just over a week ago. It was ugly. The Hurricanes skated circles around the Red Wings, and pumped them in terms of puck possession. Had it not been for Petr Mrazek, that game would have been lost. But, in true fun Red Wings fashion, the good guys scored three goals in the third period to defeat Carolina 4-3. Tonight, I’m hoping for a similar outcome, but a much better performance. The top six has been adjusted a little in terms of the 2nd line, Tomas Jurco looks like he’ll be playing with Brad Richards and Tomas Tatar. From our injury updates post yesterday, Johan Franzen looks like he’s done-zo for a while. Concussion symptoms are back, and that means it’s probably time to look towards retirement. Additionally, Luke Glendening’s status for tonight is unknown, as he had some gnarly swelling from block a Steven Stamkos slapshot. Ouch.

The game plan for tonight? Just win, baby.
