NHL Playoffs TV Schedule change up Detroit Red Wings Boston Bruins

Diggers reporting that game one between Boston and Detroit will allegedly start on Friday, April 18th.

The NHL 2013-2014 playoffs are slated to start on Wednesday, April 16th, with the series between the Boston Bruins and our Detroit Red Wings starting on Thursday, April 17th. However, as you can see from the tweets above from digger Ansar Khan, we'll be kicking off our battle on Friday. The diggers didn't really provide a reasoning for this schedule change, but I would think it's safe to assume that it is due to a logistical conflict with the TV networks. Of course, this is all speculation on my part.. Both Khan and Pleiness reported the same updates on the matter.

What does this mean for us as a team? Not much, I suppose. An extra day of rest is always welcomed, of course. Especially when we're awaiting updates on the injuries of Jonathan Ericsson and captain Henrik Zetterberg.. A day or two can make all the difference. There hasn't been official word on this, so we'll keep you posted if there is any further updates on the matter.. Bummer is that there will be a game on Easter Sunday. So what's more important to you? Family gatherings, or playoff hockey? (I think we all know the answer to this question)
