NHL Playoffs Viewing Guide: How to Watch Friday Night's Games
It's a good morning for Red Wings fans. Let's get ready to watch some other fanbases stress the hell out tonight. Here's the game guide.
Ottawa Senators (7) at Montreal Canadiens (2)
Canadiens lead series 1-0
Time: 7:00pm
Channels: CNBC, CBC, TVA
What to watch for: Things are going to get uglier and uglier as this series goes on. Bad blood in game one carrying over from PK Subban slashing Mark Stone and getting tossed before the Habs' eventual victory. Ottawa's coach basically put a bounty out on Montreal players. This is must-watch playoff hockey
NY Islanders (3M) at Washington Capitals (2M)
Islanders lead series 1-0
Time: 7:00pm
Channels: NBCSN, SN, TVA2, MSG+, CSN-DC
What to watch for: The Isles took advantage of the Caps in game 1. I expect Washington to put more pressure on the New York net for game 2. This series would be better served to offset against the OTT/MTL matchup by half-hour start times so the rest of the nation might care about it.
Chicago Blackhawks (3C) at Nashville Predators (2C)
Blackhawks lead series 1-0
Time: 9:30pm
Channels: NBCSN, SN, SN360, TVA3, CSN-CH, SPSO
What to watch for: The Preds went up 3-0 on Chicago in the first period of game 1 and then collapsed into a 4-3 2OT loss. I have no idea how they're going to respond, but this series could be brutal on the winner.
Calgary Flames (3P) at Vancouver Canucks (2P)
Flames lead series 1-0
Time: 10:00pm
Channels: CBC, CNBC, TVA
What to watch for: This series didn't figure for low-scoring, but that's what happened in game 1. Vancouver led a good portion of that game, but Calgary tied it and then took the lead with under 30 seconds left to go. It was great.
