Preseason Morning Skate: Penguins at Red Wings
Game three.
7:30p ET, Joe Louis Arena
Detroit, MI
TV: Fox Sports Detroit
Penguins Blog: Pensburgh
After defeating the Chicago Blackhawks 4-1 last night in Detroit, the Red Wings look to make it two in a row against the Pittsburgh Penguins. We'll likely see the Wings "B" team tonight, but it should match up better than it did when they played in Chicago. I expect big games from Dylan Larkin, Teemu Pulkkinen, Anthony Mantha, and Riley Sheahan tonight. Hell, I'm expecting big games from every player. Especially the young ones with something to prove. I'd really love to see a player like Xavier Ouellet, or Nick Jensen (who will likely be paired together this evening) force their way into this regular season lineup.
While I am unsure exactly what the lines for the Penguins will look like, the Pittsburgh beat writers have noted that we will not see Sidney Crosby, or Phil Kessel, and will see Evgeni Malkin, Patric Hornqvist, Sergei Gonchar, Rob Scuderi, and Ben Lovejoy. As soon as more information becomes available, we'll update the lines.
By the way, this post will serve as our game thread, so don't forget!
