Storylines for each series after the jump
MONTREAL vs. BOSTON
There is about a 3,000 page history that could be written about this rivalry and one of the more dramatic chapters was written by Zdeno Chara and Max Pacioretty. This is a fierce and brutal rivalry so it should be an entertaining game. Tim Thomas is heading into the playoffs as the heavy favorite for the Vezina Trophy, but will his regular season success translate to the playoffs?
BUFFALO vs. PHILADELPHIA
Philadelphia and Buffalo both had their struggles late in the regular season with injuries and losing games they should have won. Ryan Miller missed time, but is ready to go for round 1 of the playoffs. Is he fully recovered yet and after several games late in the regular season of bad performances, will the Flyers flip the switch back to on?
LOS ANGELES vs. SAN JOSE
This West Coast tilt will be interesting as the Sharks have been playing very good hockey lately and the Kings are without their best scorer Anze Kopitar. Are the Kings in serious danger or will Jonathan Quick be a playoff hero?
