If the Wings ultimately sign Diaz to replace Lashoff, I am fine with that. But, I would rather have a prospect such as Sproul or Ouellet take Lashoff’s spot, instead of a veteran like Diaz.

Jean Beliveau, who is 83-years-old, has been recovering from pneumonia. Last week he was reported to be in critical condition, but, his wife said yesterday that his condition was not at all as severe as reported. With the Canadiens, he won 10 Stanley Cups as a player, and seven more times as an executive for the team.
