The Capitals have finally announced the site of the next Winter Classic. The only better option would have been hosting the event at the National Mall. That would have been incredible, in so many ways.

By donating $50, Ontario residents are placed in a sports pool where they have the chance to win $1 million. However, this does involve correctly predicting 45 consecutive NHL games. Either way, it is a great way to raise money for the Canadian Cancer Society.

Jean Beliveau, who is 83-years-old, has been recovering from pneumonia. Last week he was reported to be in critical condition, but, his wife said yesterday that his condition was not at all as severe as reported. With the Canadiens, he won 10 Stanley Cups as a player, and seven more times as an executive for the team.
