Red Wings’ prospect Joe Veleno is on Canada’s top line at the World Junior Summer Showcase. He’s playing a lot alongside the Blackhawks 3rd overall pick Kirby Dach and the expected 2020 first overall pick Alexis Lafrenière. Looks like he had himself quite the game in Canada’s 4-1 win over USA.

Kirby Dach (CHI) scored after a nice little touch pass back to Joe Veleno (DET) who made such a patient, mature play to find Dach on the back door. Those two have been Canada's most noticeable forwards through the first half of the game. Great combo with a goal and assist each.
