Quick Hits: The Need for More Talent Edition

In Red Wings Land

RED WINGS’ ROAD TO SUCCESS COMES DOWN TO IMPROVING THE SYSTEM | The Hockey News

TL;DR the Red Wings need way more young talent in their system to rebuild around.

Filip Zadina and Dylan Larkin are a good start, but I think it’s pretty obvious to all of us that this team needs more talent in their system and on their NHL roster. We know that Jack Hughes or Kaapo Kakko could push the car down the rebuild road a lot quicker. However, the percentages say there’s a very, very real chance the Wings will be picking in the #3-6 range. It’s crucial that whomever is running this team hits on that early pick and finds a real, elite talent. It would also be incredibly helpful if they could hit on one or two of the three 2nd rounders as well.
