Here’s why the Detroit Red Wings could take forward Trevor Zegras at No. 6 | Freep

Because all the players better than him are already taken?

I’d much rather see the Red Wings draft Bowen Byram, Alex Turcotte or Dylan Cozens over Trevor Zegras, but I would guess those three will all be gone by the sixth pick.

With that said, apparently the kid is super skilled and you can never have too many talented hockey players. He might not be my personal preference, but the Wings could do a lot worse than Zegras.

ECHL’s Kelly Cup never returned by champions | ESPN

The Eagles, who left the league to become the American Hockey League affiliate of the Colorado Avalanche after last season, neglected to return the Kelly Cup to the ECHL, according to Patrick J. Kelly, commissioner emeritus and the trophy’s namesake.

”I don’t know if I should say this or not, but Colorado kept the trophy, if you can believe it,” said Kelly, speaking on AM 1230 in Toledo this week. “They still have it. This is a new trophy. They won the Cup two years in a row, and their owner just said, ‘We’re going to keep it.’”
