Red Wings News

Red Wings forwards: Health should bring happiness to team, its fans | The Detroit News
If the Wings can be relatively healthy next season, that is already an automatic upgrade over this past one. But, after what we have gone through these past few years, healthy Wings’ players is only something that I can only hope for, and not expect.

Which six players would make up the Detroit Red Wings top starting lineup of all-time? | MLive.com

In goal I would have to go with Sawchuk. My two defenseman would be Lidström and Chelios, but I could easily replace him with Vladdy, Fetisov, or even Red Kelly. Ted Lindsay and Gordie Howe are my top two wingers, while Steve Yzerman is my center. As for head coach, Mike Babcock gets the nod from me.

Suggested NHL Draft System: Honour for Connor | The Hockey Writers
This is not a terrible idea. It would make the end of the season considerably more exciting for the bad teams, but would come at the expense of the trade deadline. Teams are not going to sell if they know that they need to win to get the top pick.

Latest on NHL’s top 14 unrestricted free agents – Sportsnet.ca
I was surprised to see Alfredsson’s name on this list. I had completely forgotten about him. He was nonexistent in my brain for a while.
