A whole lot has happened in the NHL over the last 48 hours. That includes some coach changes around the league and a Stanley Cup Final match-up to remember (maybe?)
Around the NHL
Holy smokes what a ride Tuesday was. A couple of changes around the league:
- Capitals name Spencer Carbery head coach
- Preds boot John Hynes, will hire Andrew Burnette as head coach
And this won’t be the last of it.. don’t forget about the Kyle Dubas situation. There are some rumors out there. I won’t dig into that.. Not my style. The offseason should be fun though.
First, we have the Stanley Cup Final. A pretty sweet match-up between the Vegas Golden Knights and Florida Panthers. I’m pulling for the Cats here.. As much as it hurts me to root for a division rival – I can’t get enough of Sasha Barkov and Matthew Tkachuk.
Here at home
Not much to go around for Red Wings news. I am interested to see if we get any announcements from the Grand Rapids Griffins about a head coach soon. Most teams aren’t playing anymore… Could be something to keep an eye on. I still expect Steve Yzerman and Shawn Horcoff to promote from within the organization.
