Abdelkader was suspended for hitting the Czech Republic’s Vladimir Sobotka in the head. This means that Abby will miss the first three games of the 2015 WC’s, if he makes the U.S squad.

The goal here is to expose hockey to as many people as possible, and by playing games on Monday’s during the fall, you are automatically eliminating a huge group of viewers. If the NHL was in a position to challenge the NFL as the top sports league in the U.S., then this would be a different story. But at the moment, that is far from the case.
