NHLPA rejects NHL's offer of Olympic participation for CBA extension | Puck Daddy

I don't really care about whether NHL players are in the next Winter Olympics or not. What I do care about is avoiding another lockout. We just saw Major League Baseball and the MLBPA come to terms on a new CBA. They haven't had a work stoppage since the mid-90's. That's crazy considering the NHL seems to have a lockout every time the CBA needs to be re-negotiated. Here's to hoping the two sides figure things out before the clock strikes midnight and it's too late.

It's not exactly HBO and it's not quite the Winter Classic at Michigan Stadium, but the Road to the NHL Outdoor Classics on EPIX begins soon. A short preview featuring the two coaches, Jeff Blashill and Mike Babcock, was just released. I'm definitely looking forward to seeing if this year's behind the scenes look shares a little more than the last time around. The Red Wings are significantly younger and we could get an much more entertaining series.
