Bruins 5, Red Wings 3: Detroit loses back-to-back games in regulation for first time this season | MLive.com
A bad, tough loss, but it is not the end of the world. Especially if we manage to beat the Oilers tonight.

Report: Red Wings, Leafs might still talk about Phaneuf this summer | ProHockeyTalk
This is not surprising, and I would not mind if the Wings did take another look at Phaneuf during the summer. The price will have to be right, but I could easily part with Stephen Weiss, either Jakub Kindl or Brendan Smith, and a mid-tier prospect if it meant that we could acquire Dion Phaneuf with Toronto retaining $2 million of his cap hit.

Zidlicky proving to be wise acquisition | The Detroit News
Two goals in three games so far for Marek Zidlicky. Hopefully he can keep up the offense.

Red Wings should pay up to keep coach Mike Babcock | USA Today
Money should not be an issue when Mike Babcock decides whether to stay in Detroit or test free agency. The Wings should offer him whatever he demands.

Why No. 1 playoff seeds deserve all games at home in Round 1 | The Hockey News
This is an interesting suggestion, but I doubt it would happen. For one, lower seeded teams having none or fewer home games than what they currently do would hurt in-market revenue and marketing opportunities. Plus, will fans of the Coyotes travel to Vancouver to watch their team? Not many will. But, it would provide a huge incentive to finish near the top of the table during the regular season.

Maple Leafs need to look inward for answers – Sportsnet.ca
The Maple Leafs need to clear house. Shanahan has to get rid of all of the problems within the organization and start over. The next few years will be painful for Leafs’ fans, but that is the price that this organization may have to pay.
