Red Wings Wrap-Up: Bertuzzi looks to rebound from frustrating season – NHL.com

Seven points in nine games is a pretty spectacular pace, but losing Bert for most of the season was heartbreaking. Here’s to hoping he comes back better than ever.

Golden Knights 6, Avalanche 3: Vegas eliminates Colorado in decise Game 6 win to advance to third round – Knights on Ice

It was a heck of an effort by the Colorado Avalanche, who fought back from multiple deficits and were the better team on the night. However, the Knights made the most of their opportunities, scoring five goals on 22 shots not including the empty-netter.

The Golden Knights prevailed in the end, winning all three home games in the series. They will have home-ice advantage for the rest of the playoffs.

Next up is a third-round matchup against the Montreal Canadiens.

Much more to come

Oof.

Tough going, Avs fans.

A 6-3 loss is brutal enough, but to lose when just about every analyst pegged you as a cup favorite? That’s gotta hurt. Dominant performances from Marc-Andre Fleury and Mark Stone saw Nathan MacKinnon & co. shut down from Game 3 onward. The Avs have a terrific roster, but they just couldn’t figure out how to fight back against the might of the Golden Knights. This is the third time in a row the Avs have lost in the second round of the playoffs. Is this cause for concern, or just another bump in the road? Only time will tell.
