2021 NHL Draft order set through first 27 picks
The Red Wings have the No. 6 pick and the No. 22 selection, which they acquired from the Washington Capitals in the trade for forward Anthony Mantha on April 12.

So there you have it. Detroit will pick 6th and 22nd, assuming they keep both picks.

Power, projected No. 1 pick in 2021 draft, considering return to Michigan
“I think right now I’m probably leaning more toward going back to school,” the 18-year-old defenseman told “NHL Now” on Friday. “It’s something I’d like to do, trying to get the true experience of playing college hockey. At the end of the day, it obviously depends on what the team wants and what everyone around me thinks is best. I don’t think there’s really a bad option, but I’d say I’m leaning a bit more toward going back to school right now.”

I mean there is a way that he could stay in Michigan indefinitely…

(Which of course is not happening)

Subban of Devils debuts for ESPN as NHL analyst
The 32-year-old scored 19 points (five goals, 14 assist) in 44 games this season. In 12 NHL seasons with the Devils, Nashville Predators and Montreal Canadiens, Subban has scored 445 points (110 goals, 335 assists) and won the Norris Trophy voted as the best defenseman in the NHL in 2012-13. He was Norris finalist in 2014-15 and 2017-18.

I think that Subban has a long career as an NHL broadcaster when his career is over if he wants it. His play has fallen off, but he’s one of the most entertaining people in the game. Adding Mleczko is a a great move for ESPN. She’s fantastic.
