Red Wings Rumblings
Happy Wednesday, friends! The Wings are in Pittsburgh tonight for a nationally-broadcasted game before they head West this weekend/early next week. (Late games… woof)
Former Red Wings GM Ken Holland has taken a job with the NHL in a consultant role. Good for him — hopefully this role will suit him better than his recent gigs. I kind of wondered what his next move was going to be, and I honestly thought it would be retirement. Best of luck to KH.
Games A La Carte
Diamond Sports is set to offer Red Wings and Pistons fans a way to watch single games at a cost of $6.99 a pop. This is hilarious to me, because I would not pay that price to watch a single game… But perhaps I am in the minority with that opinion. What say you? Is this as ridiculous as I really think?
Trey Augustine continues to impress in the NCAA. The promising goalie prospect earned the Big Ten’s second star of the week after stopping 51 of 54 shots in a sweep of Ohio State over the weekend. How awesome would it be if our tandem is Cossa-Augustine in a few years?

Pens Trade Eller to Washington
The Penguins will be without center Lars Eller tonight after trading him to the Capitals for a pair of draft picks. I saw something on social media from a Pens writer that said Dubas has made it known that all players other than Sidney Crosby are available, but stopped short of calling it “rebuild mode.” Peculiar.
