Detroit Red Wings have five players in COVID protocol, may soon face game postponements - Freep
“Well we’re five guys down,” coach Jeff Blashill said Friday night. “The other team with five guys down is Carolina, and they postponed their games. So, that is where we are at. Certainly, it does not help chemistry, but again … we are just trying to control what we can control.”
What stands out to me here is that there’s not a standard here for how many players hit protocol before games get moved.

Reactions to the blockbuster trade between Columbus and Winnipeg yesterday from our sister sites:
In trading Laine and Roslovic the Jets show how hollow their “draft and develop” talk is. Instead of working to retain two players who they drafted and developed; Laine especially was one they should have worked harder to keep, they show that they are more committed to keeping a mediocre coach who has never won anything and an aging captain who is paid too much vs. a young goal scorer. In the single game Laine played the season before getting hurt, we saw a player who was committed to being as engaged on the ice as he possibly could.

I’m actually not going to take a quote here because the article linked doesn’t attempt an editorial and I don’t think I can fairly represent Jackets fans with the variety of responses in the comments by just picking one or even two. There’s a lot of good fan analysis in the comments on that post and some good ol’ fashioned bellyaching too.
