Red Wings Rumblings
The Wings will be back in Traverse City next month for training camp and NHL prospect games. The prospects tournament will be a two-game series against Dallas at Centre Ice on September 14 and 15.
Training camp will happen just days later from September 19 to 22. Preseason gets underway on September 25.
Who will be at camp?
There were reports that both Axel Sandin-Pellikka and Michael Brandsegg-Nygard would be attending Wings camp, which is pretty unusual for high-end Euro prospects like them.. But it sounds like ASP will likely stay in Sweden:
Former Red Wing Jakub Vrana could be back in the NHL this season. It was announced yesterday that Vrana will attend Washington Capitals camp on a PTO contract. Detroit acquired Vrana from Washington in the Anthony Mantha trade years ago before he went into the NHL Player’s Assistance Program. Hoping he can find his feet and establish himself as an NHLer once again. Best of luck!
