Bertuzzi's hearing date is October 25th, so expect to hear about a finalized contract in the next 12 days if the Wings intend to avoid arbitration https://t.co/yY9clqSfHX

I agree with our esteemed colleague Prashanth in that Bertuzzi will likely sign before the hearing in just under two weeks. As a note, the rules changed this year that if the hearing actually starts, the two sides aren’t allowed to sign a deal and interrupt it.
Also, as a reminder, the Scotty Bowman roast is airing tonight.

Sharks Sign Forward Patrick Marleau - NHL.com
Entering the 2020-21 season, Marleau currently sits fifth on the NHL’s all-time games played list (1,723), 44 games shy of Gordie Howe’s all-time record (1,767). He ranks 25th on the NHL’s all-time goals list (562) and 50th on the all-time points list (1,188). Among active NHL players, he ranks first in games played, second in goals, fourth in points, seventh in assists and second in game-winning goals.
I want him to play 43 games and then retire.
Vegas Golden Knights take Marc-Andre Fleury off trade market, cite schedule - ESPN
“With respect to repairing that relationship, I don’t see any issue that way at all. I don’t think it was ever what was reported or assumed. Whatever different theories that were out there, I don’t think internally it was ever the issue it was made out to be, and I don’t expect it will be an issue going into next season,” he said. “Believe me: If it was, we would have made different decisions than we made.”
Lehner is recovering from recent shoulder surgery and Fleury is still recovering from a sword wound to the torso, but all $12M of Vegas’ goalies are expected to be healthy to start the year.
