Quick Hits: The Chips Edition

In Red Wings Land

Red Wings’ blue chippers, Caufield headline Top 75 prospects list – TSN

At No. 1 is Moritz Seider, who was 25th on last year’s list. The 6-foot-3, 200-pound German blueliner has elevated his play to the next level with his size, physicality, puckhandling and offensive skill. Drafted sixth overall in 2019, he has the makings of a future No. 1 defenceman.

Red Wings prospect Lucas Raymond, taken fourth overall in last October’s draft, is No. 3 on our list. The winger, whose style of play is similar to Toronto Maple Leafs star Mitch Marner, has six goals and 18 points in 34 games with Frolunda in the SHL this season.

This got mentioned in yesterday’s QH, but I want to make sure everybody saw it. Jonatan Berggren is also at #53 on this list.

Around the NHL

It’s funny because this is a fantastic fan argument that I love to see from just about anybody.  Then I see it from a former NHL player with a big stupid mouth known for saying dumb things and all of a sudden I learn I don’t love to see it from a specific subset of people.

Dubinsky’s got a chip. I get that. It’s kind of sad to see him expressing it like this.
