Sweden has lost another world junior player because of a positive COVID-19 test: Red Wings prospect William Wallinder is now ruled out for the tournament.

Some teams have already run into either players testing positive or “not available to participate.” Team USA dropped G Drew Commesso, D Alex Vlasic and F Robert Mastrosimone from its camp roster, replacing with G Logan Stein and D Tyler Kleven and Hunter Skinner.

Wallinder and Mastrosimone will be two Wings prospects you won’t get to see at the WJC if the event still goes off as planned.
