I really hope Patrick Kane chooses Buffalo. We aren’t one vet away from contention. Neither are they, to be frank, but once Tage Thompson comes back they’ll have the firepower to make a case at least. The Sabres still need to fix their defense and goaltending, but let’s hope Kane forgets about that.

Reminder: he has to sign by December 1st or else he’s ineligible to play this season. So, expect formal news sometime in the next 6-ish days. Go home, Kane.
