Ranking, projecting impact of Red Wings’ first-round picks - MLive
8. Evgeny Svechnikov (No. 19 in 2015)
Is he a top-six winger with offensive potential or more of a third-line player with limited scoring ability? It’s difficult to say. This season was somewhat of a transitional year after he missed all of 2018-19 with an ACL tear. He is no longer waiver-exempt in 2020-21, so he will either make the NHL roster or be traded.
Svetch is listed in eighth out of eight and shares the “could be moved” tag with number seven. Khan has Veleno having jumped in front of Rasmussen (which I don’t disagree with so much as find interesting). He also has Seider in front of Zadina in this one-question mailbag post.
Around the NHL
Key word in #NHL's memo, of course, is "IF" league decides to revert to old practice of picking one lottery winner (while maintaining the same allocation of Draft Lottery odds) and limits move-up to four spots.

Nothing decided. But that's what was distributed to teams on Fri.
