The Detroit Red Wings today agreed to terms with right wing Riley Barber on a two-year contract and center Kyle Criscuolo and goaltender Kevin Boyle on one-year contracts.

“It was a learning experience,” Draper said. “I’ve been a part of a lot of drafts. Things happen. When you make a pick and wait for the next one, players come off the board and you have to adjust on the fly, but I thought our staff did a nice job and in the end when we look back at this, we’re proud of our work. The passion we have for the Detroit Red Wings means a lot to all of us.”

Detroit offered more money for Markstrom but Markstrom wasn’t interested in a rebuild. Krug is more open to DET. Edmonton offered more money to Holtby than VAN did.

Detroit dodged a bullet if the term was similar to what Markstrom signed for with Calgary (6x6M).
