Red Wings Rumblings

Ahead of tonight’s game against the Islanders, we learned that Patrick Kane will be sidelined with what is “probably” a day-to-day injury. That’s a tough blow but anecdotally, I’ve been pretty underwhelmed with PK88 so far this season.

Talbot a Trade Target?

Here is a “no duh” article from The Hockey News on Cam Talbot being a premium trade target. No one wants to admit it, but Talbot has been one of the bright spots in this very early and also depressing regular season. He’s on year one of a two-year deal with a modest $2.50 million AAV. Meanwhile, Elliotte Friedman is reporting that some big changes could come for the New York Rangers:

I personally don’t want to do the whole “Trouba to Detroit?” back-and-forth again. Does Adam Fox want a change of scenery by chance? How do you feel about a reunion with Erik Gustafsson?
