Ahead of tonight’s game against the Islanders, we learned that Patrick Kane will be sidelined with what is “probably” a day-to-day injury. That’s a tough blow but anecdotally, I’ve been pretty underwhelmed with PK88 so far this season.
Here is a “no duh” article from The Hockey News on Cam Talbot being a premium trade target. No one wants to admit it, but Talbot has been one of the bright spots in this very early and also depressing regular season. He’s on year one of a two-year deal with a modest $2.50 million AAV. Maybe I’m just bitter at the state of the Red Wings, but I’m not taking anything less than a first-round pick and/or a premium prospect in an exchange.
