Can’t See A Better Fit: Dylan Larkin primed to join Red Wings Captain club | The Detroit News

This appears to be behind a paywall, but I don’t see any other local articles. I have my “Dylan Larkin Captain Article Comments” Bingo card ready to go.

Julien in hospital, Canadiens coach likely out rest of East First Round
"Claude felt chest pains during the night," general manager Marc Bergevin said Thursday. "We immediately consulted our doctors and it was agreed to quickly transfer him to the hospital by ambulance. He's presently there and is under tests to determine exactly the nature of his condition. This has nothing to do with COVID.

"We don't expect him to be back during this series against the Flyers. Kirk (Muller), Dominique (Ducharme) and Luke (Richardson) will share the responsibility. However, Kirk is the associate head coach and he will assume the responsibility of head coach until Claude's return.

It goes without saying that we wish Julien a quick and full recovery.

Backstrom to miss Game 2 for Capitals vs. Islanders in East First Round
Capitals coach Todd Reirden said the center is in concussion protocol after being injured on a hit from Islanders forward Anders Lee 2:33 into the first period of New York's 4-2 victory. Lee received an interference penalty on the play.

Backstrom did not miss a shift over the remainder of the first period, but did not play after the first intermission.

This is an interesting one. I saw some people calling for Lee to be suspended, but from the replays I saw, I didn’t think the hit was that egregious. I think the interference call was definitely deserved. Regardless, you never want to see a star player miss games.
