Jaromir Jagr was put on unconditional waivers yesterday for the purpose of mutual contract termination and we'll find out at midday whether that's going to go through or whether another team is going to put a claim in on him. I'm not sure a player has been claimed off waivers filed for the purpose of mutual termination so I'm not expecting him to be claimed, but either way this is kind of a sad way for one of the NHL greats' careers to end.
