Quick Hits: The Terrible Ted Day Edition

In Red Wings Land / Around the League

I know the Ted Lindsay news happened early enough yesterday that we as a community got to talk about it, but I’m dedicating this whole post to him. As always with Quick Hits, you can share/talk about what you’d like in the comments, but Terrible Ted gets more than a day.

What can I say at this point? Ted Lindsay wasn’t universally loved, but he was the kind of guy who you could look at his enemies and think “yeah I’d be ok if they were my enemy too.”

STATEMENT FROM THE LINDSAY FAMILY

Red Wings legend Ted Lindsay passed away peacefully this morning at his home in Oakland, Mich. He was 93 years old. Ted was a persistent, courageous and determined man both on and off the ice. He was a man of many firsts. We are comforted in knowing that the Ted Lindsay legacy will forever be a part of history and are so proud of the many lives he helped change for the better through his tireless humanitarian work. Arrangements will be announced when they are finalized.
