Some people in the Org want to take a D-man and the belief is Sanderson. Some want a RW and the Belief is Jack Quinn, and a Belief that some inside want the Goalie, Askarov.

Usually the NHL off-season has a few weeks of build up. When the Stanley Cup is wrapped up in early June the combine would have just happened, the draft would be a couple weeks away and free agency another week after that. There’s time for rumours to build and trades to come together, but this off-season feels more like a sprint.

It’s going to come fast and it’s going to come all at once.

OK, maybe that’s a bit over the top. But there is going to be a lot of stuff happening in a very short amount of time.

Seems to be the first time the reigning Masterton Trophy winner has been bought out. Nice of Ottawa to, at best, tell him this morning, shortly before the news broke.
