Ya know what? Good for Zetterberg. Not every Wings great needs to join the front office, and his wife is right – life has a lot more to offer than just hockey, especially with a young son. You do you, Z, and maybe we jeep seeing you around from time to time.

Sad news for Hasek, but hopefully a new Hall opens for the Czechs soon. I know Wings fans would gladly take some of Hasek’s memorabilia at LCA, but that’s also not the point. Hasek wants to show this stuff off at home, HIS home country, and inspire new generations of Czechs to play the game he loves. I really hope the plans for the next Czech Hall of Fame work out.

Not to spoil things, but the Wings broadcast team came in at number 2 after claiming the top spot last year. Ahead of them this season – the Seattle Kraken after adding Eddie Olczyk for color commentary. I call BS on this. At least they got the last-place team correct! Ha! Haha! Ha ha ha my god that organization does not deserve whats coming to them at the Draft.

The Hero Of Calgary has officially arrived in Toronto. Can he balance out this top-heavy roster and turn it into an actual contender instead of a perennial paper tiger? Who knows, but as a Wings fan I certainly hope not. He’s got an uphill battle anyway, apparently having to not only navigate the roster and 31 other teams as trade partners but having to tap-dance around Brendan Shanahan and MLSE ownership ACTUALLY controlling decisions as well.
