Maple Leafs Expect Randy Carlyle To Return As Head Coach – Pension Plan Puppets
First of all, I do not believe the rumors that the Leafs are waiting for Babcock’s contract with the Wings to expire. Second, the fact that the Leafs fired Carlyle’s assistants and not him is the most hilarious part of this.

Otters’ McDavid drafted by Croatian KHL team – Sportsnet.ca
I know that there is no chance that McDavid would go over and play there, but could you imagine if he would? Don Cherry would literally rip his hair out.

Oscar Dansk was drafted 31st overall in 2012. He is Lundqvist’s natural successor in goal for Team Sweden.

Dan Church: How To Grow Women’s Hockey | The Hockey Writers

Growing women’s hockey begins with promoting the sport worldwide. You cannot have the U.S. and Canada being the only two nations that compete for Olympic Gold in Women’s hockey. Outside of doing that, I think that the sport will grow naturally for women. I am not a huge lacrosse fan, but I do know that there are a lot of women who play the sport. If you can market it similarly to the way lacrosse does, it should be able to take off.

How much can the Arizona Coyotes afford to spend in free agency? – Five For Howling
The Coyotes have a lot of holes to fill on their roster. Especially one after OEK is traded to the Wings in exchange for Kindl and a 3rd.

ECHL’s Las Vegas Wranglers scrap plan to play home games on casino roof | Puck Daddy – Yahoo Sports
While I doubt that playing on a roof would be a sustainable option, it would have been an interesting experience. Think about it though, how would they be able to get all of the water up there in order to preserve the ice.
